Beat the heat- in a bird bath.

Summer days
I burn my body in sun's intense flame,
I trim my shirt off to feel better.
Global warming, none but ourselves to blame,
Yes, I Know in this pose i look like a jester.

Bird bath
Everything is dry and dust around,
Bird bath seems like a silly place to leap.
I decide to leave, once the birds surround,
Until then, i rest on my sword for a tiny sleep.

Smile always
from being a soldier to a daily wager,
I respect the dignity of labour.
Loving my job heartily is my nature,
Enjoying each day with a smile, happiness i harbour.
